Both sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation in a range of areas including political, economic, employment, education, knowledge transfer and people to people contacts.
Minister Sabry expressed satisfaction at the level of bilateral engagements in the last few years and stressed the importance of carrying through the momentum by consolidating trade and investment partnership between Sri Lanka and South Korea. The Minister underscored the urgent need to revive the joint economic commission for expanding trade and technology transfer between the two countries. The Foreign Minister also appreciated Korea’s timely consideration to increase employment opportunities for Sri Lankans.
