Currently, a team of 70 naval officers has been deployed to carry out its construction work.

Following a request made by the Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, the Governor of the Western Provincial Council Roshan Goonetilleke has agreed to provide Rs.10 million for the construction work.

The Chairman of Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Eradication, Basil Rajapaksa has also agreed to support in providing 2,000 beds to this treatment center under the project of providing 10,000 beds to country's health system within 10 days.

Minister Namal Rajapaksa and Minister Prasanna Ranatunga inspected the construction work of the treatment center last Friday (07).
