Approval was granted at the Committee on High Posts Chaired by the Hon. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, last (23).
Mr. Anura Dissanayake as the Secretary to the Ministry of Irrigation, Mr. Sirinimal Perera as the Secretary to the Ministry of Urban Development & Housing, Maj. Gen. Jagath Alwis as the Secretary to the Public Security Ministry received the approval of the Committee for their respective posts.
Committee approval was also granted to Mrs. Bhadrani Jayawardena as the Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Mr. R. A. K. K Ranawaka as the Secretary to the Ministry of Lands and Land Development.
Approval has also been granted to appoint Air Chief Marshal Sumangala Dias new Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Italy, said the Secretary General of Parliament Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake.
