The report of the committee appointed on the September 2015 and February 2016 power outages will also be tabled today, the Minister said.

Minister Alahapperuma stated in Parliament (23) that due to the power outage that took place island-wide on August 17 last year, the total economy of the country was around Rs. 1471 million. Furthermore, he said that similar power outages had taken place in September 2015 and February 2016 while pointing out that none of the committee reports appointed on such power outages had been made public.
