Fifty five (55) competitors along with the 35 sailing yachts, representing the Royal College sailing team, S.Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia sailing team, Royal Colombo Yacht Club (RCYC), Ceylon Motor Yacht Club (CMYC) and Sri Lanka Navy Sailing Pool took part in the regatta in pursue of victories.

Exhibiting their inborn sailing skills, the contestants from the Navy secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in Laser Standard sailing, 1st and 2nd places in GP 14 sailing, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in Enterprise sailing and 3rd and 04th places in Laser Radial sailing.
