Co-Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Ramesh Pathirana said that the Cabinet approved the appointment of an expert committee to formulate a National Trade Policy.
He said that it has been observed that in formulating the policy on National Trade which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on 01st In August 2017, all the relevant parties had not been consulted.
Therefore, in order to formulate a policy on national trade, representing all parties and in line with the current times, Cabinet approval was granted to a proposal presented to the Cabinet by Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena Sep; (02).
