In its continuous efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus within the country, the Navy conducted another disinfection programme in the villages of Digannewa and Kumbukwewa in the Divisional Secretariat of Kotawehera, Kurunegala on 03rd May 2020.
Upon a request made by the Public Health Inspector – Kotawehera, Navy’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit carried out the disinfection effort. The CBRN Unit sterilized all key premises of said villages in accordance with proper sterilization guidelines.
Meanwhile, the Navy stands ready to carry out similar sterilization programmes in public places to prevent the further spread of the virus.
