From 6.00 am to 12.00 noon yesterday (30), the police had arrested 75 persons and taken into custody 35 vehicles in the Gampaha, Colombo, Kalutara, Jaffna and Kandy districts where the curfew was in force.

They had also taken into custody 24 vehicles belonging to the curfew violators during this period.

Since the curfew was imposed at 6.00 pm on March 20th until 6.00 pm yesterday (30), the police had arrested 7,098 curfew violators and taken into custody 1,70 vehicles.
