    Another 163 who completed the quarantine process returns home – 3086 more in 46 quarantine centres

    A group of 144 individuals who had completed their quarantine procedure left the centre today, said Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva.

    He said this during the daily briefing at the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19.

    He added that a total of 3086 individuals, including 31 foreigners are still in 46 Quarantine Centres while yesterday another group of 163 persons who had completed the quarantine process were released.

    A total of about 7500 individuals, out of some 20,000 returnees, including those identified during the period (March 1-15) while being in the country are still in self-quarantine or in quarantine at their homes, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said.

    However, he urged the public to continue to maintain distance even while in self-quarantine at their homes in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
