The DIG appealed to the people to follow proper health practices and maintain distance during the period the curfew is lifted when making their purchases. He also requested the shop owners to act responsibly during this period. So far, 1589 persons have been arrested for having violated the curfew and 362 vehicles have been seized, DIG Ajith Rohana noted.
During the curfew all essential services will function without any issue and clinics for pregnant mothers will also function without hindrance.
