The curfew imposed at 6.00 am on Friday is still in force country-wide. The Police Media Director SP Jaliya Senaratne stated that 281 persons had been arrested for violating the curfew.
He noted that these measures have been taken to control the spread of the Coronavirus and urged the public to adhere to the curfew and stay indoors and cooperate with the
authorities in order to control the spread of the Coronavirus and prevent any further infections.
