    For Coronavirus preventive measures Rs.60 mn provided to 12 hospitals

    The Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said that ministry has provided Rs.60 million for 12 hospitals to meet all the requirements in order to implement preventive measures for Coronavirus infections, Health .Addressing a press conference at the Health Ministry Auditorium in Colombo yesterday, Minister Wanniarachchi said that discussions will be held with the Directors of those 12 hospitals to find out their requirements. The meeting was scheduled yesterday evening.

    More safety equipment from the World Health Organisation and UNICEF will also be provided.Minister Wanniarachchi said that by using the latest software introduced by the Health Ministry, all MOHs in the country can instantly know the locations and moments of all individuals who arrived from China.
    All relevant data is fed into the computer network from the airport using the form filled by all passengers. The 12 hospitals around the country have been identified as the treatment centers for the suspected persons. They are NIID, TH Ragama, DGH Gampaha, DGH Negombo, National Hospital Kandy, TH Karapitiya, TH Anuradhapura, TH Jaffna, TH Kurunegala, PGH Rathnapura, TH Batticaloa and PGH Badulla.
