    Failure to receive O/L admission cards: Contact Examinations Dept. Featured

    The Examinations Department advises school principals who do not receive the admission cards for the Ordinary Level Examination 2019 by today (November 22) to contact the Examinations Department.Examinations Commissioner-General Sanath Poojitha told news media that the admission cards and the time tables of school candidates relating to the Ordinary Level Examination 2019 have already been posted to the principals of all schools and those of private candidates to their private addresses.

    Therefore, the relevant principals might have received their admission cards by now. If any case they haven’t received them at least by today are advised to contact the Examination Branch of the Examination Department.The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2019 will be held from December 2 to 12. The Department disclosed that 717,008 candidates are registered to sit the exam at 4,987 examination centres islandwide. Of the 717,008 candidates, 433,050 are school candidates while the balance 283,958 candidates are private candidates. The exam will be coordinated through 541 coordinating centres.

    “If there are amendments with respect to the subjects applied, language medium or any other error in the admission cards received by the principals, the respective principals should perfect the forms sent for this purpose and get them processed through the nominated teachers in charge of school examinations by visiting the School Examination Organisation and Results Branch in the Examinations Department. In case of such amendments for private candidates, they are requested to inform those same designated officers at the Examinations Department in person,” he added.
