Further, during the past few days, as a prior precaution to minimize the flood effect, Navy removed the debris collected underside of several bridges and canals which were posing a flood threat in various areas in the island.One of such programmes was conducted at Dodangoda bridge in Galle area on 28th October 2019.

Accordingly, a Navy diving team attached to Southern Naval Command removed debris collected underside of the bridge which were posing a flood threat for the residents of the river banks. The team swiftly cleared debris making way for proper downstream of water.SL Navy is prepared to assist the general public at any disastrous situation in the country.
