The Department of Meteorology today issued Special Advisory for heavy rain says that due to the atmospheric disturbance developing to the Southeast of Sri Lanka, showery condition is likely to enhance over the island (particularly in the Northern, Eastern, NorthCentral and Uva provinces) during next few days (26th-30th October). Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Eastern, Northern and Uva provinces and inPolonnaruwa district and Heavy falls about 100-150 mm are likely at some places in these areas it add.
