The Vice-Chairman of the Walallawita PS had been arrested for illegally distributing posters in a vehicle, before being released on bail, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.Further, a Panduwasnuwara PS member had been arrested Thursday (Oct 17) for levelling threats and attacking a residence, the spokesman added. He is due to be produced before court today.

Meanwhile, a Pelmadulla PS member has been remanded on orders of the Pelmadulla Magistrate's court until October 28 for attacking supporters of a political party, while they had been returning on a bus.
