A total of 513 election violations have so far been received with regard to the upcoming Presidential Election, the Chairman of the National Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya announced this morning.According to a Commission chairman's announcement, in the period from October 8 to 13, the Election Commission had received 485 complaints regarding violation of election laws, 12 complaints on election violence and 16 other complaints.
The Commission Chairman also disclosed that within the 24 hours up to 4.30 pm on Sunday (13), the number of complaints received was 54. This includes 52 complaints on violation of election laws, One complaint on election violence and 15 other complaints.These complaints have been lodged at the National Elections Complaints Management Center and the District Election Complaints Management Centers.
