A group of 52 Army personnel, including Officers came forward to donate their blood for Bandarawela hospital inmates at the request of the Uva Province Executives’ Association on Tuesday (17) at Pushparama Viharaya in Bandarawela.
Commander, Security Forces - Central, Major General Rukmal Dias has extended his approval for the project considering its importance to the lives of the patients.
A medical team of the Bandarawela Hospital assisted the project with the support of the nurses. The organizing committee extended their gratitude towards all Army donors before the day’s programme wound up.
