Former Minster Azwer passed away yesterday at a private hospital and was 80 years at the time of his demise.
He was selected to the Parliament as a national list MP in 1989 and held the Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs ministerial portfolio.

The final rites of late Former Minister A.H.M. Azwer will be held today (30th Aug.) at 3.p.m. at the Dehiwala Mosque.
