She said that ministers and MPs in the government are also free to criticize or comment the government at present.

At a religious ceremony held on the 27th August in Ratnapura, the minister added that the good governance government has given freedom for them to express their ideas and to criticize anyone. Under this government not a single group of people, but all together are taking decisions, she added.

Commenting on her new appointment as the Minister of Justice, who is also the first lady holding this portfolio, she said that there is a legal system in the country and all should abide by it.
