He said the Dengue ward at National Hospital was closed from 7th August. The additional wards at Negombo Hospital which were taken over to admit dengue patients have also been given back.

Being able to control the Dengue Epidemic in a very short time is an achievement said the minister addressing a Dengue Prevention Program at Waters Edge, Battaramulla yesterday (8th Aug.)
 

He said that in the event there are climatic changes there can be a rise of Dengue patients. Therefore cleaning should be done continuously.
