Accordingly, drinking water is being distributed in Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Hambantota Districts,  and some areas in Trincomalee, Ampara, Puttalam, Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Mulativu and Mannar districts.

According to the situation report issued today (25th July) at 9 a.m., nearly 1, 055,455 persons belonging to 303,748 families in 118 divisional Secretariat Divisions have been affected due to the drought. The highest number of victims amounting to 147, 992 persons of 45, 185 families are reported from Kurunegala District.
