The existing bus fares are expected to be increased by 6.28 percent from 1st July 2017.
The proposal made by Minister of Transport and Civil Avaiation Nimal Siripala De Silva in accordance with the proposal of National Transport Commission was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday (20th June).
According to the proposal, the minimum fare of Rs. 9.00 will also be increased to Rs. 10.00.
