He made these comments at the weekly cabinet briefing held today (14th June) at the Department of Government Information. The journalists questioned the Co-cabinet spokesmen regarding the steps taken to solve the prevailing issues.

Minister Jayasekera said that problems in the country cannot be solved through law arguments. “Therefore, don’t take problems to your hands instead try to solve by discussion.”

Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Ministers has directed law enforcement authorities and the Attorney General to take immediate action against instigators and perpetrators of violence and hate speech against religious and ethnic groups.
