A relief team along with a consignment of five Rubber Floating Dinghies and five Outboard motors were dispatched via air transport to the island.

Senior naval officers attended to receive them at the Bandaranaiyake International Airport on the occasion. These boats are to be dispatched to assist flood victims and evacuate the public stranded in the Southern and the Western Provinces due to floods. Yet another consignment of five Rubber Floating Dinghies and five Outboard Motors will be sent today (1st June) to assist the flood relief teams.
