The first of the ‘Child protection through the empowerment of School Media Unit Coordination program’ will be held tomorrow (20th May) at Devi Balika Vidyalaya.
For this program children and Teachers of 25 Media Units of ‘Nearest school is the best school’ program will participate.
It is being organized by the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) and the Education Ministry.
The resource persons are from Media Department of Kelaniya University, NCPA, Ministry of Education and from prominent media institutions.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
