It included the research symposium, which had four concurrent sessions which includes Buddhist Teachings for Social Justice, and Sustainable World Peace, Inter-Religious Understanding and Common Future of the Human Kind, Buddhism, Economy and Cultural Tourism and Buddhist Media Network for World Peace. International and Local speakers presented papers at the symposium.

Minister of Buddhasasana Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapakshe was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony.
