The SLFSA notes with great concern that a diplomat, who is an internationally protected person, has been attacked in this manner while carrying out his duties.

The Association appreciates the swift action taken by the Government of Sri Lanka to condemn this attack and call for an investigation. The SLFSA remains hopeful that the ongoing investigation would not only unravel the grave nature of the crime committed against the diplomat but will also bring to justice the perpetrators and any person or organisation and their networks that have planned and orchestrated this crime.
