According to them, Strong wind (up to 60-70kmph) is expected to continue over the Southern sea area, and fairly strong wind (up to 50-60kmph) is expected to continue over the Southern province and Central hills of the island.
Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa Central, Southern and North-western provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.
