Northern Province Governor Reginald Cooray said that 50% of the people who are in camps had never owned any land.
He made these comments yesterday announcing the Northern Province Investor Forum to be held on August 22 at the GAs office in Jaffna.
Now they should be provided lands to build their houses, but there is an acute shortage of lands in the province. 15,000 families have to be resettled. The main problem in the province is unemployment.
