Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that their naval forces are fully prepared to guard their maritime frontiers and interests. He reposed complete trust and confidence in the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Navy. The Prime Minister made these comments during his visit to the Naval Headquarters recently.
Rural bridges will benefit 300,000 people in Monaragala
June 20, 2014Work on a number of rural bridges out of a total of 11 under construction in the Monaragala District are already nearing completion under the programme to build 210 bridges country-wide for linking villages with towns and cities, launched under Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa’s direction.
01. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Information & Communication Technology Authority (ICTA), Turkey and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka TRCSL) - this MoU provides a mechanism for technical and institutional cooperation with the purpose of contributing to telecommunication development in both Sri Lanka and Turkey. Particular areas of cooperation envisaged are technological development, universal access to telecommunication services, convergence and next generation networks etc. The proposal made by H.E. the President, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between TRCSL, Sri Lanka and ICTA, Turkey, was approved by the Cabinet.
