'The 4th stage of the training programme on development of Leadership Qualities and Positive Thinking will commence on 7th of September this year’ Minister of Higher Education, S.B.Dissanayake announced.

Sri Lanka Cricket announced selection of following squad for Asian Games 2014 by the National Selectors at a Selection Committee meeting held on Wednesday (23).  SLC informs that the approval of the Sports Minister has been obtained for same.

On a request made by Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC),  the match venue for the 2nd Test  against Pakistan was changed to SSC as it will be Mahela Jayawardene's final Test match on his home club ground.

The Sri Lanka Cricket's Executive Committee nominated the names of Prof. Arjuna De Silva, Dr. Harindu Wijesinghe, and Dr. Seevali Jayawickrama to be appointed as a Medical Advisory Committee of SLC.
