"Sahasak Nimavum", the National Invention Exhibition organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors' Commission (SLIC) will be held on 26, 27 and 28 of September at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo.
The inuagural opening of the exhibition will be held on Sept.26 at 3.00 pm. under the patronage of Minister of Science, Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha.
Around 300 inventions under thirteen fields, such as information and communication technology, traditional knowledge, electronics, import substitutes and nanotechnology will be on display at the exhibition.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10.00 am. to 6.00 pm.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
