The arrested fishermen and trawlers were brought to Kankesanthurai harbour and will be handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Kankesanthurai for onward action, Navy Media reported.

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the SL Coast Guard to arrest 15 Indian fishermen along with two Indian steel fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters in the seas North-East of Point Pedro on Sept.21.
