The Galle district coastal clean-up program will commence today (23) at the coastal area near the Southern Expressway Galle (Dewata) access point.
The inauguration ceremony will be held under the patronage of Minister of Parliament Reforms and Mass Media Gayantha Karunathilake and the Southern Province Chief Minister Shan Wijayalal De Silva.
This program is being organized by the Marine Environment Protection Authority. All Heads of the Public Institutions will be participating.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
