Minister of University Education and Highways Mr.Lakshman Kiriella last day said the new government will eradicate the Leadership Training Program for university students and will introduce an awareness program on international languages.
The Minister stated this after calling on the Prelate of Malwatte chapter the Most Ven. Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera and Prelate of Asgiriya chapter Most Ven. Galagama Sri Aththadassi Mahanayake Thera.
He further said all potential steps would be taken to ensure a peaceful environment in Universities for education.
I'm aware of the issues and difficulties faced by university students and they will be resolved through discussions with the university student, he added.
