The Met. Dept. forecasts that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western province and in the Kegalle district. Several spells of showers will occur in the Northwestern and Southern provinces and in the Rathnapura district.
Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Eastern, Uva and Central provinces after 4.00 pm.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
