This is a result of bilateral talks between the Civil Aviation Authorities of Austria and Sri Lanka at Bali Island Indonesia in November 2014.
According to the Authority sources, this will greatly help boost Sri Lanka's tourist industry since most Austrian tourists prefer to spend their holidays around beaches in coastal areas as well as to view beauties of nature in the countries they visited.
The country has earned Rs. 13.6 billion by handling foreign airline traffic operating through the Bandaranaike International Airport, sources added
