The Met Dept. predicts showers to occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces. It says showers can be expected at several places in the Northwestern province too.
Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the period from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Southwest monsoonal winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times over the country (particularly over central hills) and Northwestern & Southeastern sea areas.
