The Met Dept. predicts several spells of showers in the Western, Northwestern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Thundershowers may also develop at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the period from 4 pm to 8 pm.
The Met Dept. says southwest monsoonal winds may strengthen up to 50 kmph at times over the country (particularly over central hills) and Northwestern & Southeastern sea areas.
