The Met De[t. predicts showers to occur at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Colombo to Pottuvil via Galle and Matara. Showers or thundershowers will develop at several places in the other sea areas around the island during the period from 2 pm to 8 pm.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Galle and Matara will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
Sea areas may be temporally very rough during thundershowers as the winds can be strengthen up to 70-80kmph.
