The Assistant Election Commissioner of Matara District W.H.R.Wijaya Kumara said 9809 government employees will be deployed ion election duty from the Matara District.
Out of them 6369 will be deployed for polling booth duties, 2520 at counting centers and 920 for other duties.
In the Matara District polling will take place at 455 polling centers in 7 electorates of the district.
Counting of the postal votes will take place at the Matara District Secretariat premises while counting of other votes will be held at the Technical College Premises in Medawatta-Matara..
