Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 -60 kmph at times.

Showers will occur at times in the sea area off the coast extending from Colombo to Hambantota via Galle and Matara. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at a few places in the other sea areas during the period from 2 pm to 8 pm.
