He further added that casting of postal votes will take place on 5th and 6th of this month for eligible state sector employees including the Kandy District Secretariat staff.
According to Hitisekera, a number of election monitoring groups who were in Kandy to observe casting of postal votes had expressed their pleasure with regard to the peaceful environment..
A total of 48,652 voters from the Kandy District are eligible to cast postal votes.
