Change in the prevailing weather and more showers in the South-western parts is expected, the Met Dept. said.
There will be a few showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northwestern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Central, Uva and Eastern provinces during the period from 2 pm to 8 pm.
Southwest monsoonal winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times over the country (particularly over central hills) and Northwestern & Southeastern sea areas.
