The Met Dept. says the sea area extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
Showers will occur at few places in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle. Isolated showers or thundershowers can be expected in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
