However, 1,570 applications were rejected due to various reasons and thus 31,452 applicants are eligible for postal voting in the Kegalle district, Returning Officer and Government Agent of Kegalle District F.M.Gamini Senevirathne said.

A total of 20,950 postal voting applications have been received by the Matale District Assistant Election Commissioner's Office.

However, 2,026 applications were rejected due to irregularities. Thus, 18,924 applicants are eligible for postal voting in the Matale district.
