It is one of the development projects mooted under the Government’s 100-day programme. Under the housing scheme 400 houses are due to come up with an extent of seven perches allocated for each unit in the Maskeliya, Talawakelle, Meeriyabedda and Agarapathana areas.

The Estate Infrastructure Ministry has allocated 1. million rupees for each house.

Each housing unit will have a floor space of 555 square feet and the scheme will be equipped with a streamlined sanitary network.
