The public servants will get another Rs 2,000 salary increment from this month, said Treasury Deputy Secretary S. R. Attygalle in response to a question raised by a Journalist at a press conference held yesterday at the Finance Ministry Auditorium.
The Public Servants were given a salary increment of Rs. 5000 in February as well, and a salary hike of Rs.3000 in January.
Accordingly, Attygalle said that with this increment, the Rs. 10,000 salary increment as pledged by the government will be fulfilled.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
