The Navy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health has extended its assistance to the National Dengue Control Programme conducted under the guidance of the National Dengue Control Unit. One hundred and seventy-one naval personnel will be engaged in dengue control activities from 04th to 06th June 2015 covering Jaffna, Trincomalee, Colombo, Kalutara, Puttalam and Kandy districts, Navy Media said.
Personnel of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Air Force, Police and the Civil Security Department are also taking part in the 03-day dengue control programme implemented in the Jaffna, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Ratnapura, Puttalam and Kandy districts.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
